Sisi Ticket or Sisi Pass: Which to Buy
Updated September 18, 2026
Verdict
Buy the day ticket if the Hofburg is your imperial stop: EUR 20 against EUR 60 is not close for one site. The Sisi Pass only pays if you will visit Schoenbrunn and the Furniture Collection as well, which is a two-day plan, not an afternoon.
Two tickets carry Sisi's name and they are not alternatives so much as different sizes. The day ticket, EUR 20 for an adult, covers the palace museum route: Imperial Apartments, Sisi Museum, Silver Collection. The Sisi Pass, EUR 60 with an audio guide included, adds Schoenbrunn and the Imperial Furniture Collection. The question is whether you will use the other two sites, because the pass costs three times the ticket. Prices checked on the operator's site, 18 September 2026.
| Criterion | The Hofburg day ticket | The Sisi Pass |

| Child price | EUR 12 for ages 6 to 18 | EUR 38 for ages 6 to 18 |
| Autumn 2026 discount | 25% off from 6 October to 18 November | Excluded from the reduction |

The arithmetic
Three adult day tickets at Schoenbrunn, the Hofburg and the Furniture Collection would have to cost more than EUR 60 for the pass to win. We quote the Hofburg's EUR 20 because we have read it on the operator's page; we have not verified the other two, so do the sum with their current prices rather than ours. What we can say is that at EUR 60 the pass needs all three sites used to make sense, and that it is excluded from the 25% autumn reduction that takes the Hofburg ticket to EUR 15.
What the pass is really for
It suits a trip where the Habsburgs are the theme rather than a stop: the winter residence in the centre, the summer palace at Schoenbrunn, and the furniture collection that stores what both were furnished with. Spread across two or three days that is a coherent plan. Compressed into one, it is a march.
If you are visiting between 6 October and 18 November 2026
The museum section of the Sisi Museum is closed for refurbishment in that window and standard tickets drop 25%, so the day ticket costs EUR 15 while showing less of Sisi. The Sisi Pass keeps its price and its scope. If Sisi is the point of the trip, this is the window to move around rather than to buy a pass.
